The first look at the movie adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel ’2 States: The Story of My Marriage’ is out!
In the poster, Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt appear as star and state-crossed lovers, sprawled across a map of India.Arjun Kapoor plays a Punjabi munda called Krish Malhotra, who’s a studious, clean shaven, mummy’s boy. Alia Bhatt plays Ananya Swaminathan, a Tamilian Brahmin and we’ll get to see her to perform bharatnatyam in the film! In spite of being so different, the two fall in love but their backgrounds and upbringing makes their love story a rocky ride.Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and UTV have co-produced the film. The movie is being directed by Abhishek Varman who had previously assisted Johar on ‘My Name Is Khan’. The film is slated to release on April 18.
